Belgian-born forward, Jeremy Doku displayed good form for Anderlecht on Sunday evening as he registered his name on the scoresheet in the team’s 2-2 draw against KV Mechelen.
The attacker who is of Ghanaian descent earned a starting role for the Belgian giants this evening when they made the trip to the Argosstadion Achter de Kazerne grounds for Matchday 1 of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League 2020/2021 campaign.
Despite dominating play, Anderlecht failed to score at the end of the first half with the defense of the home team standing form.
In the second half, Jeremy Doku massively impressed and opened the scoring for the visitors on the 64th minute after he was assisted by Michael Murillo.
Ten minutes later, an own goal from Lucas Bijker doubled the lead for Anderlecht with all indications pointing at a win for the Belgian giants at the end of the game.
Unfortunately, the team let their guard down in the final 10 minutes of the game as Igor de Camargo and Jordi Vanlerberghe scored for KV Mechelen to ensure the match ended 2-2 at the end of the 90 minutes.
On the matchday, Jeremy Doku lasted the entire duration of the match and will hope to continue the fine form as the season progress.
