Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy has reacted to the firing of warning shots at a registration centre by the Minister of Special Development Initiatives, Hawa Koomson.

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Awutu Senya East admitted on live television to have fired warning shots to scare off some men who had come to a registration centre in her constituency to misbehave.

Although her action has received massive condemnation from the Public, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the President of the country has failed to condemn the action by the Minister.

But speaking on the issue for the first time in an interview on Accra-based 3FM monitored by, Stonebwoy who is in court for pulling a gun on stage at last year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards said such incidents should not happen in a country where peace is being preached and especially when the country is lacing her boot for an election.

He noted that the laws in the country should take its course because the people in charge of the country are aware of what they are doing.

“Honestly I’ve been hearing the news because my name keeps coming in there. I think that both incidences are unfortunate and this one is also is really unfortunate. These things are not supposed to be happening anyway in a country where we all want peace and especially in election times. So, I know that there are…my leaders and those in power are very competent and know what they are about so In the end I think that I will just leave it there like that and I believe that… I know that the law works except you haven’t gotten in such space before to understand that the law really really works.

All I will say is that let’s just continue to stay away as youth from things that will cause us problems or will cause the right arm of the law to come upon us and that’s it. That’s all I can say for now but as for our Honourables and our Senior Men and our people they will find a way to deal with their own things as far as I’m concerned. That all I can say.

I’ve close family people that heard the news and were like wow, ehh, you know what I mean. I wouldn’t play dead to what we face as the system. Let’s be honest here. I wouldn’t play dead to what we all face as the system. You find out that the poor people get the worse treatment you understand and I’m gonna be honest you know what I’m saying,” he told 3FM in an interview monitored by
