Technical Director candidate of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Judan Ali has been sacked by the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), Modernghana Sports can report.
The former English footballer and coach was appointed to the position of the Maldives Technical Director in December 2019 on a monthly wage of $9,000.
Eight months on, footing his wages which was been done by sponsors has become difficult as a result of the financial impact of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
After failed negotiations over a pay cut, the Football Association of Maldives has announced the sacking of Judan Ali. This has been confirmed by the FAM Secretary General Hussain Javaz this weekend.
As reported by Modernghana Sports earlier this month, Judan Ali is one of 6 candidates in line for the vacant Technical Director job at the Ghana FA.
It is unclear whether this gives a clear indication of his imminent appointment but sources say the Ghana FA is keen on his giving him the top job.
