Legon Cities head coach, Bashir Hayford has shared that Asamoah Gyan will only return to the pitch only when he is ready and fit.
Gyan has seen no action since mid-December after he sustained groin injuries.
However, the 34-year-old teamed up with his teammates at the training grounds ahead of the second round of the season which start in April.
According to Bashir, the Ghana legend will only return to the field when he is ready and stays fit.
“Asamoah Gyan will only play when he is fit and ready,” he said.
“When I was appointed as the head coach, he was nursing an injury but thankfully, he has returned to the training ground training with the players.
“I am only hoping that he will stay fit because he needs to play,” he added.
Gyan will be hoping to feature in their matchday 17 games against Eleven Wonders at the Nana Ameyaw Stadium in Techiman.
