As part of the National Road Rescue Program, the works have a period of execution of six months, and are budgeted at Akz 1.6 billion Kwanzas.

Around thirty workers, mostly young people hired locally, and various means, such as cylinders, dump trucks, tractors and backhoe loaders, are visible toiling along the 33 kilometres long section.

In a statement to the press, the director of the Caimbambo Municipal Infrastructure Office, Lino Kanjangue, explained that they are rehabilitating the road with actions to plug holes and replace asphalt in the damaged areas, as well as signalling, for greater safety of motorists.

He said that the traffic on this road has been problematic, with several road accidents due to the many holes it presents, hoping for better days.

He called on drivers to be very careful while driving, because work is still being done on the road and traffic, at some points, is only being done on one lane.
