Democratic Republic of Congo defender Chancel Mbemba scored twice to lead his club FC Porto to the Portuguese Cup title after a 2-1 victory over arch rivals Benfica on Saturday.
The victory saw Porto complete the domestic double, having clinched the league title for the 17th time two weeks ago.
Porto had to play more than half the match with a man down after Luis Diaz was sent off for a second yellow card after just 38 minutes.
Mbemba ensured his side picked victory scoring the important goals off set pieces. He broke the deadlock three minutes after the break after Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos’s poor clearance of a free kick.
He then made it 2-0 in the 57th minute with a powerful header off another well delivered set piece.
Benfica substitute Carlos Vinícius scored with six minutes left, but Porto managed to hang on for the victory.
